The Mental Health First Aid Conversations About Gambling course will teach you how to identify, approach and support someone who is experiencing gambling harm. We train you how to help by using a practical, evidence based Action Plan, which has been developed by people who work directly in this field. You will also have the opportunity to practise your new skills in a safe environment, so as you have the confidence to apply your new skill set in the real world confidently.

Gambling can have negative impacts on mental health, as it can lead to feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression, particularly if an individual becomes addicted to gambling or experiences financial problems as a result of their gambling habits.

Gambling addiction, also known as pathological gambling or compulsive gambling, is a type of impulse-control disorder. It is characterized by an inability to resist the urge to gamble, even when doing so causes negative consequences, such as financial problems or strain on personal relationships. Gambling addiction can lead to a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
