Mental Health First Aid® is a national not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health
training and research. Our core work is to develop Mental Health First Aid (MHFA™) courses,
and train Instructors to deliver these courses to communities or workplaces across Australia.

Mental health is just as important as physical health, and mental health first aid training can help you learn how to identify, understand, and support individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Workplace Alive and Well Training teach participants how to provide initial help and support to someone who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis. By learning how to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders, you can help individuals get the support they need and improve their overall mental well-being.

Workplace Alive and Well Training’s Mental Health First Aid training is suitable for anyone, regardless of their prior knowledge or experience with mental health. The training is typically conducted over the course of one or two days, and participants receive a certificate upon completion.

Investing in mental health first aid training can not only benefit the individuals you support, but it can also have a positive impact on your own mental health and well-being. By learning how to identify and address mental health challenges, you can reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and create a more inclusive and supportive community.
